Steyr AUG, FTF in Houston TX

Man I wish I had some more powder to burn on this. I wonder if he'll take GAE's??? hmm.

Preban Steyr AUG

Has anyone here ever shot one?

I've always wondered how bad the triggers are, being a bullpup and all. I might settle for a Microtech MSAR one day.

I've shot one of the microtechs, and it's pretty nice. i didn't think the trigger was that bad... if it upsets you, there are supposedly ways of making it lighter. there's some smiths that specialize in just that for the AUGs, i believe...
why would you say that is 'settling'?

Not too sloppy on the trigger, eh?

Don't get me wrong, a new Microtech would be kick ass and quite a bit cheaper, especially if I get the rail version. A preban original AUG might not have the fit & finish of a MSAR, but it's a preban Steyr AUG man. Does that make any sense?:confused_ma:

I definitely like either of the two better than the FN FS2000.
